Why attend?

Across Europe and Central Asia, the health and well-being of children and adolescents are facing serious setbacks. Progress in areas such as newborn survival, immunization, nutrition, and mental health is slowing or even reversing. These challenges — exacerbated by socio-economic inequalities, climate change, and the lingering impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic—call for urgent, coordinated action.

This webinar will:

  • Present the draft Strategy in depth, including its vision and five priority action areas

  • Highlight the inclusive development process, with special attention to the voices of children and adolescents

  • Share inspiring country examples of delivering services for children and adolescents, with the goal of sparking learning and replication across the region

Rooted in five guiding principles—early investment, protection and quality care, regulation of commercial harm, multisectoral collaboration, and accountability—the Strategy offers a shared framework for transforming child and adolescent health outcomes across the region.
