This online learning exchange will showcase successful implementations of Playful Parenting programs, particularly focusing on UNICEF Serbia’s work, and provide a platform for ISSA Members to share their own experiences and strategies. By highlighting the importance of playful parenting, this meeting will explore ways to integrate play into family routines and tasks, promote playful parenting across various programs, and share valuable resources to support these efforts.

Early childhood is a critical period that lays the foundation for a child’s lifelong development. Research consistently shows that playful interactions and learning experiences are essential for healthy brain development in young children. The Playful Parenting initiative leverages the transformative power of play to enhance child development, strengthen family bonds, and improve overall family well-being.

Playful parenting is not just about play; it is about creating a nurturing environment where children feel secure and valued and where parents can engage in meaningful interactions with their children. The benefits of playful parenting extend beyond immediate enjoyment; it fosters cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in children while also providing stress relief and emotional support for parents. UNICEF Serbia’s implementation of the Playful Parenting program demonstrates the significant impact of integrating play into daily family routines. Through this program, parents are equipped with practical tools and activities that promote learning and development in a playful, engaging manner.
