Romani Early Years Network REYN launches website

Any child, wherever he or she is from, deserves quality education starting at birth. The Romani Early Years Network (REYN), which is coordinated by ISSA, is launching a new website to keep echoing this message.
Today 80% of Roma are at risk of poverty and every third Romani person lives in a household without tap water. Segregation in schools with Roma-only classes is striking and there is growing concern about a Roma public health emergency which puts the most vulnerable children at risk.

2017 marked a new phase for REYN.  In April, they launched their strategy for 2017-2020, which guides international efforts and supports national activities in 10 countries – Belgium, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine.

In 2016 and 2017 international events were organized in Brussels to bring the voice of Roma people closer to European Union institutions. Now with a new website, REYN will be able to support their advocacy work even better.
