Registration

All individuals wishing to attend the conference must complete the official registration process. By registering, participants confirm that they have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Official language: the official language of the conference is English.

Registration Includes:

  • Admission to the conference, access to conference materials
  • Access to the Conference App
  • Coffee breaks and lunches during official conference days

Terms and Conditions

Payment Terms

  • All fees are payable in EUR.
  • Accepted payment methods: credit card, bank transfer, MB and MB Way (Portugal only).
  • Any bank transfer fees must be covered by the participant.
  • Registration is confirmed only after full payment has been received.
  • Official invoices will be issued upon request following payment confirmation.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to: issa26@the.pt

Refund conditions:

  • Until 31 July 2026: Full refund minus €35 administrative fee
  • 1 August – 15 September 2026: 50% refund minus €35 administrative fee
  • 16 September – 1 October 2026: 30% refund minus €35 administrative fee
  • From 1 October 2026 onwards: No refunds

No refunds will be granted for no-shows.

Participant substitutions may be accepted upon written request until 10 October 2026, subject to administrative approval.

Certificates

Certificates of participation will be issued exclusively in digital format and sent via email after the conference.

Data Protection & Privacy

All personal data will be processed in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Information collected during registration will be used exclusively for event management purposes. Participants may receive communications related to the conference.

Photography & Video Recording

By attending ISSA 2026, participants acknowledge and agree that photographs and video recordings may be taken during the event and used for communication, documentation, and promotional purposes.

If a participant does not wish to appear in such materials, they must inform the Organizing Committee in writing prior to the event.

Code of Conduct

ISSA 2026 is committed to providing a respectful, inclusive and safe environment for all participants. Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to remove any participant whose conduct is deemed inappropriate, without entitlement to refund.

Participant Responsibilities

Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel, accommodation, insurance, visa applications, and any required health documentation.Upon request, the Organizing Committee may issue invitation letters for visa purposes. Such letters do not guarantee visa approval.

Liability Disclaimer

The Organizers shall not be held liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to property during the event. Participants are strongly advised to obtain appropriate travel and health insurance.

Changes to the Program

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to make changes to the program, schedule, speakers, or venue if necessary. Any updates will be communicated through official channels.

Safety and Health Regulations

All applicable health and safety guidelines in effect at the time of the event will be followed.

Rules for Exhibitors and Sponsors

Exhibitors must comply with deadlines and conditions set by the organization. Any installations outside the established standards must be pre-approved.

Force Majeure and Event Cancellation by the Organization

In the event of circumstances beyond the control of the Organizers (including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, public health emergencies, or other force majeure events), the Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify, postpone or cancel the event. In such cases, reasonable efforts will be made to offer alternative solutions, which may include partial refunds or transfer of registration to a future edition.

Insurance

Participants are strongly advised to make their own insurance arrangements. The organizers cannot accept any liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage to property belonging to participants and accompanying persons, either during or as a result of the conference.
