Mission

Children’s Global Network Pakistan (CGNP) is a non-profit organization working in the education sector since 2002 through innovative interventions and policy reforms to improve access to and quality of education for children in Pakistan. CGNP envisions ‘no child denied quality education’ with the mission “to introduce child-centered reforms in the education sector, educational institutions (public & low cost private) and communities for facilitating children to become more productive, active & responsible citizens”.
CGNP’s thematic areas include Early Childhood Education and Development, child-centered interactive teaching and learning program, enrollment for universalization of primary education, intergenerational learning, field implementation–piloting innovative models for scale, knowledge management through district consultations, research and dissemination of data and information, capacity development of education providers, policy makers, planners, administrators, parents and youth, policy reforms and political commitment.
CGNP’s extensive work in ECCE resulted in the creation of Parwaan National Center of Excellence on ECCE undertaken in collaboration with the Ministry for Federal Education and Professional Training with the mandate to serve as a focused body on ECCE in Pakistan. Parwaan Pakistan has since its inception in 2015 has undertaken tasks that include research study on ECCE in selected districts of Pakistan to know about the perception of parents, teachers and education department officials with regard to Early Childhood care and Education, conducted awareness sessions with parents on the importance of brain development, child development, immunization and health and hygiene. Consultation meetings were also undertaken to inform the policy makers about the recommendations for ECCE. The important step undertaken by Parwaan is the implementation of innovative ECCE model titled Parwaan Preschool-A School Readiness Program. Under the program capacities of educated unemployed youth is built in Entrepreneurial and ECCE pedagogical skills to open up ECCE centers in the community for the at risk children. The successful implementation of the program has resulted in its expansion from five districts to fifteen districts across Pakistan.
CGNP’s efforts are directed to provide best to the children of Pakistan starting from early years.
