VCOK contributes to an inclusive society in which parenting is not only a private but equally a public ambition, concern and responsibility. This means that parenting is not only the responsibility of mothers and fathers but also that public facilities and society have a role to play in this. VCOK contributes to an inclusive society in which all parents have the unconditional right to participate substantially in society and their needs and wishes are recognised. To achieve this, we set up learning and community-building processes for both parents and professional educators. As a training institution for parenting and childcare, our mission is twofold. On the one hand, we target parents, grandparents and other educators. For them, we have a wide range of workshops and activities with or without children. We also offer regular lectures and webinars on parenting. In everything we do, we want to contribute to the parent-child relationship and to greater well-being for everyone involved in a parenting situation. On the other hand, we offer training for those working professionally with children (aged 0 to 12). From short sessions, workshops and lectures to multi-day courses and team coaching. On the other hand we provide pedagogical support for family, group and out-of-school care. We collaborate on projects and respond to tailor-made requests. We are committed to personal development and increasing staff competences.
