Mission
SOFT Tulip Foundation is a network organization of 8 Dutch NGO service providers for people with disabilities, elderly people and people with psychiatric problems, and offers a broad range of on the spot and tailor made trainings; train the trainer programs; twinning between professionals; policy exchanges; visits to and trainings in the Netherlands.
Rooted in basic values characteristic of Dutch culture like freedom, equality and solidarity, we assist our partners abroad to further in their own country the quality of life of persons with a disability, elderly people and people with psychiatric problems. Doing so, we draw upon insight, knowledge and experience that have been accumulated within a strong and vibrant civil society encompassing the development of helping networks, the advocacy of the interests of persons with disabilities as well as the fostering of policy changes necessary to develop an inclusive society. We draw also upon insight, knowledge and experience gathered within our network of care providing organizations in the Netherlands. Simultaneously we learn with and from our partners to find solutions for challenges we are facing due partly to globalization and partly to local problems.
SOFT Tulip interventions are in accordance with the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
