A consortium of ISSA members has developed a new Soft Skills Toolbox to support educators, mentors, trainers, and facilitators leading collaborative professional learning. The resource brings together a handbook, videos, reflective cards, practical activities, and tips addressing skills such as active listening, empathy, powerful questioning, collaboration, and creating safe and inclusive environments.

The Toolbox was developed by the Educational Research Institute in Slovenia, Wide Open School/Škola Dokorán in Slovakia, Hea Algus in Estonia, and Open Academy Step by Step in Croatia through the Erasmus+ project Soft Skills for High Quality Education, with funding from the European Union.

The themes were also explored during a recent ECOS Institute event on leadership and facilitation in professional learning communities.
